HandyBuddy provides customers with a fixed-price no-haggle quote from which they submit a request. HandyBuddy then matches that customer exclusively with a local expert who best matches the customer's needs (including location, appointment preference and skills required to perform the job).
HandyBuddy for Experts is not a claims-based system. Jobs are offered to experts based upon services they opt into, their coverage areas and their overall rankings on HandyBuddy.
Go to ExpertMarketplace.org and click the login link at the top right side of the page.
Experts are expected to maintain an excellent standing on our platform. Any violation of our terms of service is immediate grounds for termination from the program such as asking a customer to cancel their request with us and to work directly with you. Additionally, repeated poor performance either with customer communcations and/or responsiveness or poor reviews is cause for suspension from the program as well.

Offers
From the setting section of your HandyBuddy for Experts portal dashboard, click on the "Services" link. From there, you will be able to opt-in our opt-out at the sub-category level.
All exclusive job offers are sent to experts automatically by the system via SMS and email based upon merit. There is never a need to reach out to our service desk to inquire about new offers or jobs.
You have 12hrs from when the exclusive offer is initially made before you will receive a warning that it's about to expire. From there, you have another 4 hrs until it formally expires and is no longer available for you to accept or decline.
You are not obligated to accept an offer on the customer's preferred date. Just select the option that you will contact the customer to schedule when accepting the offer. But make SURE the customer has agreed to the proposed appointment date if you schedule anything different than what was in their preference in the offer.
No. In your Expert profile page, your coverage areas are listed as a radius within a particular location. Please login to your HandyBuddy for Experts account and adjust your coverage areas to match your service areas that you cover without a trip fee.

In-process Jobs
Login to the HandyBuddy for Experts portal and change the status to 'Release Job' and select the appropriate reason code from the drop-down. Note that only customers can cancel a service request.
Login to the HandyBuddy for Experts portal and update the appointment date if you didn't already accept the customer's appointment preference as submitted with the request. In general, you need to do this within 2 days of accepting an offer and always if the customer let us know that the item is on-site.
Our policy is published here. You can ask the ccustomer to pay you for it directly as we have no means of collecting it from them after the quote as shared with them.

Since that's not included in the quote or offered amount, you would need to discuss an additional amount to be paid to you directly for the "extras". You do not need to go thru HandyBuddy to coordinate or collect payment.
No, not unless the job details specifically state this. If anything extra is required you can purchase it on your own and collect reimbursement directly from the customer (please be sure to discuss with them first).

Completed Jobs | Getting Paid
From the HandyBuddy for Experts portal, open the job and change the status to Completed. You will need to attach a proof of completion photo.
When you close out a job, the expected payout date is shared with you via a pop-up for you to acknowlege. The date is saved in the job notes. Also, there is a payment menu item on the left and if you filter on 'Show All' you should see expected payout details there as well.
We currently use Bill.com for vendor payment processing and our finance department will send you a link to sign up and set-up your bank info. If you need to change your bank info, login to your Bill.com account and change it there. HandyBuddy does not maintain your bank info direclty on your behalf.
We use Bill.com for vendor payouts.
In order to get paid, you will need to go back and remedy and oustanding issues. Payment is withheld until resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
