How it Works*
When you place an online request with HandyBuddy, we collect your preferred payment method from you; you do not need to pay the expert yourself. When payment is captured from you, we will escrow it and the service provider only gets paid once we have confirmed that you are 100% satisfied with the service performed. This is automatically included as part of the overall HandyBuddy request fulfillment process. This helps guarantee that the job will always be done to your satisfaction and that you don't have to chase an expert down once they have left the job site if you find an issue right after they have left.
When an expert completes your service request and marks it as complete, you will be given the opportunity to rate the service and the crew who performed the service on a scale of 1-5, 5 being best. If you feel that they haven't provided you with 5-star service let us know within 30 days of when service was completed. We'll make it right at no extra charge. Your total happiness is our goal.
Please be prepared to share pictures of the completed service with any deficits visible and allow a field supervisor from the originally matched expert's company to make a house visit to inspect the recently completed work. If need be, someone from the expert's company will return to your location for any follow-on work until you are completely satisfied. Hiring another company to "fix" an issue without giving HandyBuddy or the original expert an opportunity to remedy the issue themselves voids your guarantee with us.
HandyBuddy does not directly mediate disputes and we do request that customers and experts give it sufficient effort to work out a resolution among the two parties before escalating to HandyBuddy. Customers MUST give the originally assigned expert an opportunity to resolve the issue before HandyBuddy will step in and take an additional action. If for any reason, a customer is still unable to resolve the issue(s) after working directly with the expert, then and only then will HandyBuddy consider issuing a refund (up to the full amount of the service), depending upon the severity of the issue. Disputing any portion of a caputured payment with your credit card company voids the 100% satisfaction guarantee.
*The HandyBuddy 100% Satisfaction Guarantee is not a promise to credit money back to the customer if they are unable or unwilling to provide their expert (and crew) with a 5-star rating. Any refund offered will be at the sole discretion of HandyBuddy and is not a condition of our Terms of Service.
