Should Have Been Two Techs - Not 1
We had two very large pieces to put together. A large shuffleboard set and a 3-in-1 Air Hockey/Pool Table/Table Tennis set. These are all VERY heavy items. We were quite shocked when the installer showed up and he was by himself. While he went to work and did put all the pieces and items together, he could not lift the large pieces by himself to assemble them. My wife had to call me to come home from a work meeting to help him lift those pieces onto each other so he could complete installation. While the tech himself was great at his job and put everything together well, we were quite shocked that he was by himself and two techs were not sent for the size of this job. When I asked if this was normal for a job this size to be handled by one tech he said it just depends how busy they are. Had I not been able to leave my work appt and come home to help him lift the heaviest pieces to connect them this job never would have been completed. We feel like Assembly Pros and Handy Buddy should have given us a heads up call and asked if we thought it could be completed by one individual and we got no call. Not only did we not receive a call in advance to ask if one tech would be enough, Assembly Pros and Handy Buddy both know the size, scope, and weight of this job and these items and failed to send two techs to complete the job. The only way we got it completed was for me to help the tech lift the heavy pieces, and that is not what I paid this amount of money for.
