- Clear the Space: Make sure the room where furniture will be assembled has enough floor space for the pro to work. Move existing furniture out of the way if needed.
- Verify Your Order: Double-check that your IKEA order is ready for pickup at the store before your scheduled date. You'll receive a confirmation email from IKEA when it's ready.
- Wall Placement: Know where you want wardrobes, bookcases, and dressers placed — the pro will anchor them during assembly, so they can't be easily moved after.
- Access & Parking: Ensure the pro has a clear path from the vehicle to the assembly rooms. If you live in an apartment, reserve elevator access and check loading zone rules.

How long does assembly take?
It depends on the items. A single BILLY bookcase takes about 30 minutes. A full PAX wardrobe system with 4–6 frames can take 4–6 hours. Your quote includes all the time needed — no hourly surprises.
Do you remove all the packaging and boxes?
Yes. Packaging removal is included with every assembly. We break down all cardboard, styrofoam, and plastic wrap and take it to your recycling or disposal area.
Can I add items to my order after booking?
Yes. You can update your assembly list anytime before your scheduled date. If you add items after booking, we'll adjust the quote and confirm the updated price with you before the appointment.
Do you anchor furniture to the wall?
Yes. IKEA includes anti-tip hardware with most dressers, bookcases, and wardrobes. Our pros wall-anchor every piece that includes tip-over restraints as part of the standard assembly — no extra charge.
What if something is damaged or missing parts?
If our crew discovers damaged or missing parts during assembly, we'll document it and help you initiate a replacement through IKEA. We can return to finish assembly once the replacement parts arrive at no additional cost.
