How it Works
Customer Submits a Confirmed Service Request on HandyBuddy.com
Our website collects exact make/model/size of the item needing service and asks the customer about any options or add-on service such as moving boxes. All request details collected are shared with experts in the offer.
Customer is Matched with a Local Expert by HandyBuddy
Experts are notified via SMS and email of exclusive job offers which include item needing service, customer's exact location and their appointment preference. Accepted offers are managed by HandyBuddy experts via our Expert Marketplace portal. Exclusive offers are only availble for a limited time before they are offered up to another local expert so they should be responded to in a timely manner before they expire.
Expert Contacts the Customer and Confirms Schedule
During the ordering process, the customer will be asked for their scheduling preference which will be shared with the provider once the match has been made. All accepted offers need to be scheduled with the customer by the provider within 48 hours of receipt. At this point, the job is waiting to be performed by the provider.
Expert Manages Job in the ExpertMarketplace Portal
We give you all the tools to view and manage your jobs in our proprietary field service platform. In the portal, you can view job details, schedule the customer, add notes, reschedule, upload proof of completion, view payout details and more. Expert Completes the Job
On the scheduled appointment day, the technician will perform the requested service and you will need to share proof of completion with us. Providers mark the order as "Complete" on our portal to start the verification process. Once an order is marked as complete, the customer is notified via text and email asking them to confirm that the job was completed to their satisfaction. They will also be given the chance to rate the service and provide a review. Future awarding of work will be based on the responsiveness and performance of the service provider.
Expert Gets Paid
Once a customer has confirmed that a job has been completed to their satisfaction, payment is initiated via direct deport to the bank account saved on file with us. Payment is typically released within 5 days of confirmation.
